If You Have Traffic Fine in Abu Dhabi During Ramadan, How to Reduce it?

How the Discount Works

  • 35% discount – Available if you pay within 60 days of the violation (excluding serious offenses).

  • 25% discount – Applies if you pay after 60 days but within one year of the violation date.

How to Pay and Set Up Installments

1. Get Notified

  • You'll receive an SMS on your registered phone number with details of the fine.

  • The message includes your car’s plate number, the violation date, location, and fine amount.

  • A link to the Tamm website will be provided for more details.

2. Check Your Discount & Pay

  • Click the link to see your fine amount and applicable discount.

  • A 35% discount is available within two months, after which it reduces to 25%.

  • Scroll down and select “Proceed to Pay.”

3. Choose a Payment Method

  • You'll be redirected to the payment platform.

  • Accepted payment methods include credit cards, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay.

  • To pay in installments, you must use a credit card, not a debit card.

4. Set Up an Installment Plan

  • After payment, a pop-up labeled “Check Installment” will appear.

  • Click it to view partner banks that offer installment options.

  • Select your bank and tap “Request Installment” next to its name.

  • Enter your credit card number and choose the installment period—3, 6, or 12 months.

  • Fill in your name as it appears on the credit card, then tap “Send Request.”

5. Confirmation & Payment Adjustment

  • You'll receive a confirmation once your request is processed.

  • The adjusted installment amount will be reflected in your credit card statement.

Banks Offering Installments

To split your fine into installments, you must use one of these Abu Dhabi Police-approved banks:

  • First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB)

  • Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB)

  • Mashreq Islamic Bank

  • Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB)

  • Emirates Islamic Bank

To activate the installment plan, contact your bank within two weeks of making the payment.

By taking advantage of early payment discounts and installment options, you can reduce your financial burden while staying compliant with Abu Dhabi’s traffic regulations.
