On November 15, 2024, Xpeng Motors showcased its entire range of models at the 22nd Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition. Among them, the P7+, as Xpeng's new flagship model, currently offers three versions, priced between 96,912 - 113,514 Saudi Riyals.
Additionally, the entire series of this vehicle is equipped with Xpeng Motors' AI Eagle Eye Vision Intelligent Driving and AI Tianji XOS 5.4.0 intelligent system, and it also features the Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8295P chip.
Exterior and Interior
Since its launch on November 7, the Xpeng P7+, the world's first AI automobile, has garnered significant attention, with reservations surpassing 10,000 units within just 12 minutes and reaching 30,000 in 3 hours. The limited edition sold out within a mere five minutes.
The success of the P7+ can largely be attributed to its attractive design and interior features, as a consumer's initial impression of a new car primarily revolves around its aesthetic appeal, configuration, and cabin space.
The exterior design of the Xpeng P7+ not only continues the brand's stylistic philosophy but also incorporates more dynamic elements such as a floating roof and a double-layer spoiler, achieving an exceptionally low drag coefficient of 0.206. Its appearance is the most immediately striking feature of the Xpeng P7+.
Furthermore, in response to the needs of families for "large space," the P7+ delivers impressively.
The dimensions of the new car are 5056 mm in length, 1937 mm in width, and 1512 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000 mm. The storage space can expand up to 2221 liters, allowing the vehicle to accommodate 33 20-inch suitcases when the rear seats are folded down.
Inside, the entire range comes standard with front and rear seat ventilation, heating, and massage functions; Nappa leather seats; microfiber suede headliners; a fragrance system; and 20 speakers. Most importantly, it includes advanced intelligent driving capabilities as a standard feature, a first among its peers in the same category and price range.
Intelligence and Configuration
Besides its exterior and interior features, the Xpeng P7+ stands out primarily for its adoption of XPeng's latest smart driving system—AI Eagle Eye Vision.
This system utilizes the industry's pioneering single-pixel LOFIC architecture, incorporating front binocular cameras and a rear camera. It calculates the depth and distance of obstacles using a method akin to human eye perception of distance.
XPeng Motors explains that this system can handle a wider range of lighting conditions, from backlighting to low light and bright light without difficulty, providing visuals that are more accurate, clearer, and far-reaching. It also functions efficiently at night.
Additionally, the Xpeng P7+ is equipped with the AI Tianji 5.4.0 version at launch, which has significantly enhanced the anthropomorphic driving experience, enabling capabilities like zero-speed activation and stationary start.
Vehicles under XPeng Motors equipped with the Max version will also be upgraded to version 5.4.0, ensuring a consistent experience with the Xpeng P7+. In terms of battery life, the Xpeng P7+ offers two endurance versions: a 60.7kWh battery with a CLTC range of 602 kilometers and a 76.3kWh battery version with a CLTC range of 710 kilometers. The battery life can be increased via an OTA update in December of this year, upgrading the vehicle's range to 615 kilometers and 725 kilometers, with an energy consumption of 11.4kWh per 100 kilometers.
As for the engine, the Xpeng P7+ model line all feature single-motor drive, offering two power outputs: 180 kilowatts and 230 kilowatts with a maximum speed of 200 kilometers per hour.
