Recently, Xiaomi's third model was spotted in China, showcasing a crossover SUV with an extensive range capability, codenamed N3. This vehicle is gearing up to compete with Huawei's Aito M9 and Li Auto L9 SUVs.
On November 20, spy photos of this mysterious crossover SUV surfaced online, and according to Chinese media, this vehicle is the third product under the Xiaomi brand. According to previously leaked product plans from Xiaomi, the vehicle is expected to officially launch in 2026.
The N3 crossover SUV was seen in China with heavy camouflage and features a 'D14' badge on the front left door. Its design includes a raised hood, elegant A-pillars, and a flat roofline, fitted with five-spoke wheels and compact side mirrors. The rear of the vehicle presents a robust appearance, providing ample space for a third-row seating arrangement. Furthermore, the N3 adopts experimental front headlights and has cameras in the front fenders; however, the vehicle does not feature a LiDAR sensor on the roof.
According to leaked product plans, the N3 will adopt an extended powertrain, but specific details about the core components of this system have not been disclosed. It seems that Xiaomi will need to utilize engines other than the internally developed V6 and V8 engines, as they are designed for high-voltage systems of 800 volts, while extended-range models typically use a 400-volt system.\n\nAdditionally, the crossover SUV will come with rear-wheel steering. No further details about this SUV have been revealed yet.
It is worth noting that Xiaomi has produced over 100,000 vehicles in 230 days, with its annual sales target raised to 130,000 units. However, the company faces a loss of about 38,000 yuan (approximately $5,250) per vehicle.
