Outstanding Performance of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra
Xiaomi has recently caused a stir in the automotive world by launching the all-new electric sedan SU7 Ultra. This car, with its sporty exterior, astonishing performance, and a competitive starting price of just $30,000, has captured considerable attention.
Record-Breaking Speed
Xiaomi announced that the SU7 Ultra set a new speed record for four-door cars at the Nürburgring circuit in Germany, completing the track in just 6 minutes and 46 seconds. This achievement has attracted industry attention, especially considering that the test drive was led by the famous driver David Pitard, who won the Nürburgring 24-hour endurance race in 2023.
Even more astonishing is that the SU7 Ultra outperformed the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT by over 20 seconds, undoubtedly a remarkable achievement, particularly as it was accomplished in just one attempt.
However, it should be noted that the record-breaking vehicle is a prototype, while Xiaomi simultaneously unveiled the production model aimed at the public, which shares most specifications and mechanical components with the prototype but will not exhibit the same ferocity.
Power and Performance Figures
Xiaomi revealed that the production version of the SU7 Ultra is equipped with three electric motors, delivering a total power of 1526 horsepower, ensuring its comfortable superiority over competitors like Tesla Model S and Lucid Air. This sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds and reaches a top speed of 350 km/h.
Despite its incredible performance, the SU7 Ultra also boasts an excellent range of nearly 630 kilometers per charge, although we await real-world tests to validate this figure.
Moreover, the new Xiaomi SU7 Ultra features special updates in the cabin, including a new flat-bottomed steering wheel with carbon touches and luxurious Alcantara accents, which can be seen throughout the cabin. The car also comes with a heads-up display and a redesigned infotainment system.
Pricing and Market Response
Xiaomi plans to start delivering the new super sedan to customers in China beginning March 2025, with a starting price of $114,000 (approximately 427,500 Saudi Riyals), and in the first 10 minutes of opening reservations, Xiaomi received 3680 bookings.
