Xiaomi has officially launched its latest electric sedan, the SU7 Ultra, in the Chinese market. This vehicle is not only a significant venture into the high-performance sector for the brand but also boasts an astonishing power output of 1548 PS, aiming to be the fastest four-door sedan worldwide. It is priced at about SAR 430,800, positioning it in direct competition with models like the Taycan Turbo GT and Tesla Model S.
Top-Speed Performance
The SU7 Ultra features a triple motor system, which includes two V8s motors and one V6s motor. This setup provides a peak output of 1138 kW (1548 PS), achieving an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.97 seconds, and from 0 to 200 km/h in 5.96 seconds, with a top speed of 350 km/h. Supported by its supreme power, Xiaomi plans to take the SU7 Ultra to challenge the Nürburgring racetrack in Germany, with the goal of breaking the lap record for four-door electric cars.
Ultra-Fast Charging
This electric vehicle is equipped with CATL's Qilin 2.0 battery, which supports charging capacities up to 897V and can be fully charged in less than 12 minutes. Additionally, it can still output 880 kW of power even with only 20% battery remaining, ensuring a high-performance endurance experience.
Dimensions of the SU7 Ultra are:
Length: 5260 mm
Width: 2064 mm
Height: 1406 mm
Wheelbase: 3000 mm
Race-Grade Braking
The body of the vehicle utilizes an all-carbon fiber structure with a large carbon fiber spoiler, which provides 2145 kg of downforce at high speeds, further enhancing its aerodynamic performance. The vehicle's braking system is also upgraded to racing standards with AP Racing's six-piston calipers and high-temperature-resistant brake pads, capable of handling over 800 degrees Celsius.
Ultimate Control
The SU7 Ultra not only offers outstanding acceleration but also incorporates an electric motor regenerative braking system capable of delivering up to 0.6G of recuperation force. Under extreme braking conditions, the vehicle can achieve deceleration rates exceeding 2.36G, allowing it to come to a stop from 100 km/h in just 25 meters. Moreover, the CTB battery technology equipped in this model enhances the body's rigidity, with a torsional stiffness of 51,000 Nm/deg, ensuring safety and stable handling even under severe driving conditions.
Price
The market price for the SU7 Ultra is set at about SAR 430,800. Xiaomi aims to position it as a high-performance flagship in the electric vehicle market and hopes to demonstrate its exceptional capabilities through record challenges at the Nürburgring.
