Xiaomi has officially begun pre-orders for its electric sedan, the SU7 Ultra, boasting over 1500 horsepower and an acceleration time of just 1.98 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, priced at 814,900 yuan (approximately $114,200), with a launch expected in March 2025.
The SU7 Ultra adopts the design language of the regular SU7 but features significant improvements in several details. The car’s sporty front and rear bumpers, large rear wing, and wider body make it visually dynamic. Its dimensions are 5115mm in length, 1970mm in width, 1465mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000mm.
The rear wing measures 1560mm wide and is equipped with an active rear diffuser, providing 285kg of downforce. The SU7 Ultra also features 21-inch Pirelli P Zero 5 tires, while the interior is equipped with sporty seats, yellow seatbelts, and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel. Interior elements are adorned with Alcantara and carbon fiber, adding a touch of luxury.
The SU7 Ultra is powered by a CATL 93.7 kWh Qilin 2.0 battery, with a maximum discharge power of 1330 kW, supporting 5.2C DC fast charging, allowing for a 10%-80% charge in just 11 minutes, providing great convenience for users.
This battery powers three electric motors (two V8 and one V6), with a combined output of 1138 kW (1526 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 1770 Nm, capable of reaching 200 km/h in 5.86 seconds and completing a quarter-mile in 9.23 seconds. The SU7 Ultra is also equipped with an Asil-D torque steering system.
Its braking system features the largest carbon-ceramic brake discs currently available in a sports car, with front disc sizes of 430mm x 40mm and rear discs of 410mm x 32mm. The Akebono braking system ensures excellent performance, able to stop from 100 km/h to a complete halt in just 30.8 meters.
On October 24, the SU7 Ultra prototype set a record for the fastest four-door car at the Nürburgring, achieving a lap time of 6:46.874, although the production version will not replicate this due to increased weight.
The SU7 Ultra is priced at 814,900 yuan (114,200 USD) in China, now available for pre-order, with official sales starting in March 2025.
