Xiaomi, the renowned tech giant known for its smartphones and electronics, has launched its first-ever electric vehicle, the SU7, in the Chinese market.

This highly anticipated vehicle starts at an attractive price of $30,000 (about 112,000 SAR). Chris Bangle, the former head of design at BMW, attended the launch and commended the SU7 for its sleek design and outstanding performance, which he described as "rocket-like." He also expressed excitement about the vehicle's potential introduction in Europe. It is noteworthy that the chief designer of Xiaomi's vehicle, Li Tianyuan, is a former BMW designer who played a crucial role in the design of the new 7 Series and the BMW iX, among others. Variants, Engines, Performance Metrics, and Pricing

The new Xiaomi SU7 will be offered in three distinct variants:

  1. Base Model: Priced at $30,000, featuring a BYD 73.6 kWh battery with a net range of 700 kilometers, equipped with a single rear motor generating 295 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, making it ideal for daily commutes.

  2. SU7 Pro: At $34,000, this variant extends the range to 830 kilometers on a single charge, providing a reliable option for longer journeys.

  3. SU7 Max: The top-tier variant, priced at $41,500, boasts an electric range of 800 kilometers, dual electric motors producing a staggering 663 horsepower and 838 Nm of torque, an all-wheel-drive system, and an impressive acceleration from 0 to 97 km/h in just 2.78 seconds, perfect for performance enthusiasts.
