Mini has officially taken the wraps off the all-new electric Cooper in anticipation of its debut at the Munich Auto Show. This new hatchback will offer two primary trims, featuring a sophisticated and modern interior along with an eye-catching exterior design.
Performance and Specifications
The Mini Cooper E variant comes with a powerful front-mounted electric motor generating 181 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque, allowing the hatchback to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds.

In the top-tier Cooper SE variant, the performance figures are elevated to 214 horsepower and 330 Nm of torque. This model is equipped with a 40.7 kWh battery, providing a net electric range of approximately 305 kilometers per charge, with the option of a larger 54.2 kWh battery offering a range of 402 kilometers.
It's important to note that the new Mini Cooper will also be available with traditional internal combustion engines, although specifications are yet to be revealed.
Distinctive and Familiar Exterior

The electric Mini Cooper features the classic round headlights, now enhanced with LED technology for both main and daytime running lights, as well as sporty vertical taillights. The car's aerodynamic design achieves a favorable drag coefficient of 0.28 cd.
Innovative Interior Design

The interior boasts a simplified design focusing on essential features, highlighted by a 9.44-inch circular central display that integrates the infotainment system with a digital dashboard. The vehicle includes a practical storage space of 200 liters, expandable to 800 liters with the rear seats folded. The seats are upholstered in stylish black synthetic leather with red stitching.
Importantly, the new electric Mini Cooper is built on BMW's Spotlight EV platform, developed in collaboration with Great Wall Motors, with production set to begin in China later this year.
