The 2025 Honda Civic has officially been unveiled, introducing a variety of aesthetic, technological, and mechanical updates, most notably marking the return of the hybrid engine to the lineup after a decade-long absence.
The Honda Civic Hybrid will be available in both sedan and hatchback formats, featuring a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine paired with two electric motors, producing a combined output of 200 horsepower and 314 Nm of torque. It will come with a front-wheel-drive system and an electronic CVT transmission. The other variants will continue with the existing 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 158 horsepower and utilizes a standard CVT.
The previous 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 180 horsepower has been discontinued, and the manual transmission option has also been removed from certain trims.
Fresh Aesthetic Updates for the 2025 Honda Civic
The facelifted Honda Civic features a revamped front end with a new grille and a more aggressive front bumper, along with darker rear lights. The new Hybrid variant distinguishes itself with unique styling elements around the headlights.
