We were excited to witness the recent unveiling of the all-new electric Mercedes G-Class, featuring four high-performance motors that generate an astounding 579 horsepower. Now, Mercedes has disclosed the vehicle's significant weight.
As anticipated, the electric variant weighs more than its gasoline counterparts, primarily due to the heft of the battery packs and electric motors. Surprisingly, the weight difference is much greater than initially expected.
Mercedes has confirmed that the electric G-Class weighs in at 3084 kilograms, making it a staggering 600 kilograms heavier than the standard G-Class G500 model.
Pricing Insights
While there are no official confirmations regarding pricing yet, estimates suggest that the electric G-Class may exceed $165,000 in the U.S. market, approximately translating to 618,000 SAR excluding taxes.
