Recently, Tesla has been cutting down trees at midnight in order to build a railroad to the plant as it expands its Berlin factory.
The move aroused strong opposition from local residents and environmental organizations, who feared that it would damage the forest ecology and have a negative impact on the environment.
The environmental group “Stop Tesla” believes that Tesla's decision to cut trees in midnight is a provocative act, as the presence of the police and the noise of the heavy machinery has caused panic.
But Deutsche Bahn said they had to start work at midnight to be ready for when workers arrived the next day.
Tesla plans to expand factory production to support future models, including the Tesla Semi electric truck that may be built at its Berlin plant for the European market.
So Tesla is still moving forward with plans to expand its Berlin plant, despite protests from environmental groups and other challenges.
