Suzuki Dzire 2024 GL: The affordable choice

The Suzuki Dzire GL is an entry-level configuration, featuring a simple and practical design for consumers on a budget but looking for everyday practicality.

The GL is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine with 82 hp and 113 Nm of torque.

It is paired with either a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission to provide excellent fuel economy, with official figures showing that it consumes around 5.5 litres of fuel per 100km, making it well suited to daily commuting.

In terms of exterior design, the GL model comes with a chrome front grille, halogen headlights and 14-inch steel wheels.

Measuring 3,995mm long, 1,735mm wide and 1,515mm high with a wheelbase of 2,450mm, the car is suitable for navigating city roads, flexible and easy to park.

In terms of interior features, the GL model features fabric seats and manual air-conditioning, which is rather basic but offers Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports and other features to meet most daily needs.

In terms of safety features, the GL comes standard with an ABS anti-lock system, EBD electronic brake force distribution system and dual airbags, which basically ensures passenger safety.

Suzuki Dzire 2024 GLX: High-end comfort in a family sedan

Compared to the GL, the GLX is positioned more upmarket for those with higher demands for comfort and functionality. The GLX is also powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine, but is only available in a 5-speed automatic transmission version.

The power parameters are the same as those of the GL, with a maximum power of 82 hp and a maximum torque of 113 Nm. Although the power performance is mediocre, the fuel economy is excellent, with a fuel consumption of about 6.0 litres per 100 km.

The GLX is more refined compared to the GL, with the headlights upgraded to LED projector lamps, fog lamps and 16-inch alloy wheels added to make the whole car more premium.

The rear design retains the LED tail lights, and the overall shape is more atmospheric.

As for the interior, the GLX features leather seats and the cockpit is equipped with a multi-function steering wheel and an automatic air-conditioning system, which can provide a more comfortable driving experience.

In addition, the GLX is equipped with a 7-inch centre touchscreen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, significantly enhancing the sense of technology and practicality.

In terms of safety features, the GLX adds side airbags, stability control system (ESP), as well as a reversing camera and parking sensors, ensuring greater safety and driving convenience.
