The Saudi Ministry of Commerce has not only announced the recall of Kia Rio cars but has also revealed another significant piece of news concerning motorcycles. The latest recall involves 90 BMW R18 motorcycles manufactured between 2020 and 2023.

The Ministry explained that the reason for the recall is a defect in the reverse control unit. This could lead to moisture seeping into the unit, potentially causing an electrical short circuit and increasing the risk of fire.

Additionally, the Ministry urged affected motorcycle owners to verify if their chassis number is included in the recall on the website Recalls.sa and to contact the BMW motorcycle dealer Mohamed Youssef Naghi in Saudi Arabia for necessary repairs free of charge.

Furthermore, the Ministry indicated that as a precautionary measure, the reverse control unit will be disconnected until the replacement parts arrive and are replaced at no cost.
