The automotive industry in Saudi Arabia is once again on alert as the Trade Ministry has issued a new recall announcement, recalling 230 units of the Mercedes S-Class to ensure the safety of car owners.
This recall is a continuation of a recent series of automotive recalls that have included private and commercial vehicles alike. The models affected by this recall are the 2022 and 2023 Mercedes S-Class, with a total of 230 vehicles included in the scope.
The Trade Ministry emphasizes that this action is undertaken for the sake of owner safety. The primary reason for the recall is a fault in the engine control unit, which could lead to a loss of torque in the affected vehicles, resulting in increased exhaust temperatures and potential damage to surrounding components.
Such a fault raises the risk of fire occurring in the vehicles. The Saudi Trade Ministry urges the owners of Mercedes S-Class vehicles to verify whether their vehicle identification number is among those recalled via the website Recalls.sa, and recommends contacting the authorized Mercedes dealer Ibrahim Al Jufali in the Kingdom for free necessary updates to their vehicles.
