Rolls-Royce is busy creating personalized examples of its debut electric car, the 2024 Spectre coupe. After debuting one such vehicle, the Spectre Semaphore, during 2024 Monterey Car Week, the automaker has rolled out another one-off called the Lunaflair.

Built for an unnamed U.S. customer, the Rolls-Royce Spectre Lunaflair is named after the lunar halo, a colorful circle of light that appears around the moon under certain conditions. But the customer was also inspired by the Phantom Syntopia, Rolls-Royce said. Revealed in 2023, the Phantom Syntopia was a one-off vehicle that featured a complex iridescent paint job.

With those two muses in mind, Rolls-Royce gave the electric coupe color-shifting paint that creates a rainbow-like effect in bright sunshine, with a deep metallic appearance under low light, and took over a year to perfect. The final version involved seven layers of lacquer—including one specially formulated pearlescent layer—infused with flakes of magnesium fluoride and aluminum.

To keep the luminescent theme going, the interior color palette includes navy blue, white, and pink. That combination is featured on the seats doors, and illuminated Starlight Headliner, while the steering wheel has a blue-and-white two-tone scheme.

Like all Spectres, the Lunaflair features a dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain delivering 584 hp. Its battery pack has 102 kwh of usable capacity, giving the coupe an EPA-estimated 291 miles of range.

Rolls-Royce said only one Spectre Lunaflair will be built, and that the car's specially-developed paint will be reserved exclusively for the commissioning customer's use. It's also unlikely that the Lunaflair will end up with another owner anytime soon, as Rolls-Royce has threatened to blacklist Spectre flippers. The automaker does not list prices for its one-off vehicles, but the Spectre itself has a base price of $422,750 before any custom work.
