Recently, more photos and information about the upcoming Xiaomi SUV MX11 have surfaced. Most notably, the interior design is undergoing significant changes. Previous spy shots indicated that the center console would differ greatly from that of the SU7, and the latest information suggests that the SUV's interior will be vastly transformed.
Through an open window, a glimpse of the interior can be seen. Interestingly, there appears to be a long, narrow screen extending across the dashboard. Patent information indicates this is referred to as the 'first screen', designed to facilitate the driver's access to vehicle information and enhance driving safety. It is unclear whether the vehicle will come with a larger infotainment screen or if it will replace it.
Additionally, some illustrative images of what is believed to be the SUV's door panels have surfaced online, available in purple and orange-red colors. From these images, we can see that the doors open using a push-button mechanism, lending a simplistic yet elegant design. The vehicle is expected to feature distinctive rear lighting and a long, low front fascia, reminiscent of the Xiaomi SU7.
It is anticipated that the SUV will offer both single-motor and dual-motor versions, with the powertrain likely mirroring that of the SU7. For the single-motor version, it is expected to feature a 220 kW electric motor with a maximum torque of 400 Nm at the rear. In the dual-motor version, there will be a 220 kW motor at the front with a maximum torque of 338 Nm, alongside a 275 kW motor at the rear with a torque of 500 Nm.
The SU7 offers three battery packs: 73.6 kWh, 94.3 kWh, and 101 kWh. It is likely that the same battery packs will be used in the upcoming SUV, with the two smaller ones being lithium iron phosphate units, while the largest one utilizes NCM battery chemistry. The Xiaomi SUV is currently expected to launch in the first quarter of 2025.
