Nissan has officially unveiled the completely revamped 2025 Kicks model, designed to compete in the small crossover segment. The new Kicks boasts comprehensive updates in design and technology, along with an enlarged body to provide more spacious interiors and cargo space. Notably, the Kicks has received a more powerful engine and, for the first time in its history, an optional all-wheel-drive system.
New Engine and Performance Figures
The most significant mechanical update is the introduction of a new 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine, producing 141 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque. This represents an increase of 17 horsepower and 36 Nm compared to the previous 1.6-liter engine.
The vehicle comes standard with front-wheel drive for the base models, while an all-wheel-drive option is now available for the first time. Additionally, the ground clearance has been increased to 8.4 inches to enhance off-road capabilities.
More Muscular and Bold Exterior
The new Kicks immediately catches the eye with its bolder, boxier design, particularly in the front. It features a relatively streamlined side profile and unique LED taillights integrated into stylish black rear accents.
The 2025 Kicks has grown by 2.8 inches in length, 1.6 inches in width, and 0.8 inches in height compared to the previous generation, resulting in enhanced shoulder and legroom inside, as well as an increase in rear cargo space.
What's New in the Interior?
Interior features include a flat-bottom steering wheel, 7-inch displays for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster in base trims, or 12.3-inch displays for higher trims. Wireless mobile device charging, along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, are also available.
Additionally, the new crossover offers features such as a panoramic sunroof, a Bose audio system with 10 speakers, and Nissan's advanced "Safety Shield 360" technology, which includes intelligent cruise control. Global pricing details will be announced later, making this model one to watch in the competitive market.
