The image below is said to be the next generation of the all-new 2026 Mazda CX-5. it's the only image sourced from on Kindelauto's Instagram page, and while it doesn't give away too much information, it does say quite a bit.

Despite being covered in camouflage stickers, this so-called next-generation CX-5 appears to be longer -- which matches reports coming out of Japan that suggest it could be 110 millimeters longer. The current CX-5 measures 4,575 millimeters in length, 1,845 millimeters in width and 1,690 millimeters in height.

Mazda's signature long front end and short rear design elements are also still present, but the CX-5 is unlikely to feature the front-rear-drive layout found in the brand's larger lineup, so the front-wheel-drive layout is likely to be retained.

Speaking of which, the car will be a hybrid. In fact, it will be powered by Mazda's in-house developed hybrid powertrain. The news was first announced at an investor conference in November 2024, although no specific details or power parameters have been mentioned yet.
