Recently, media outlets released a conceptual image of the new Model Y.
From the image, it is evident that the front of the new vehicle has undergone significant changes, adopting a fuller contour with a simplified design. Additionally, it features split-type headlight assemblies with the main lights positioned lower. For the first time in the Tesla lineup, this model includes a continuous LED daytime running light.
The sides of the vehicle maintain a coupe-like style, featuring a sleek, sloping back and sporty black dual five-spoke wheels, which enhance its dynamic appearance. Through the glass, the seats appear to be updated to the same sporty style found in the new Model 3.
At the rear, the vehicle also shows substantial alterations, with the highlight being the continuous design of the tail light assembly, which complements the front lighting scheme. Moreover, unlike the common direct light type found in other models, this through-light tail light appears to use a diffuse reflection, providing a softer, more sophisticated light, while also ensuring sufficient distinctiveness.
It's worth noting that recently, a suspected new Tesla Model Y Plaid was spotted in South Carolina, USA, without any disguise.
Spy shots reveal that the new model's taillights appear to be an improved version similar to those of the refreshed Model 3. The lights still sport a C-shape but now feature a continuous style, and the details become more layered when the lights are on. This is the first time the Model Y has employed a continuous light setup, and it also features an exaggerated new rear spoiler and a Plaid model-exclusive badge.
However, it remains unclear whether the revealed "real car" is genuinely the new Model Y, or if someone is merely creating confusion with a clever ruse. Nevertheless, as the launch date for the new car approaches, more accurate information is expected to be released, so let us look forward to it.
