Chrysler has introduced a variety of intriguing concept models over the years, including Airflow, Portal, and Halcyon, but unfortunately, none have made it into production.
Recently, Chrysler's sales plummeted by 47% in the third quarter, with Pacifica's sales declining by 44%, totaling only 21,504 units sold. Faced with such a dilemma, Chrysler's path to redemption evidently hinges on the Pacifica. According to the latest news, Chrysler CEO Christine Fuell confirmed that the updated Pacifica will be released in 2026, followed closely by a fully electric new Pacifica expected to debut in 2027.
The new model will be based on the STLA platform, incorporating design elements from Halcyon, while retaining the company's unique Stow 'N Go seating system, which will help the electric Pacifica stand out in the market, especially compared to Volkswagen's ID.BUZZ, which features seats that cannot be folded flat.
Although the starting price of the 2025 Pacifica is $42,450, and that of the ID.Buzz starts at $59,995, the electric Pacifica is unlikely to be cheap.
