In 2024, the Range Rover Sport lineup welcomed a performance flagship model dubbed the SV with 626 hp, but acquiring one was no easy feat as JLR offered the SUV on an invite-only basis. For buyers who missed out, the return of the Range Rover Sport SV for the 2025 model year is undoubtedly good news.
The latest version is named SV Edition Two, allowing buyers to choose from four design themes: Blue Nebula Matte, Ligurian Black Gloss, Marl Grey Gloss, and Sunrise Copper Satin. There are no changes to the mechanics.
The Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two is powered by a BMW-sourced twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine. This engine is rated at 626 hp in this application, featuring a mild-hybrid system, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
Further performance enhancements come from weight-saving measures totaling 167.6 pounds, including standard or optional lightweight features like a carbon-fiber hood, carbon-fiber wheels, and carbon-ceramic brake rotors.
The standard tires are Michelin's Pilot Sport All Season 4. According to JLR, top performance includes 0-60 mph acceleration in just 3.6 seconds and a maximum speed of 180 mph. Inside, the SV-exclusive front seats are body-hugging and feature 16-way adjustability, integrated headrests, carbon-fiber seat backs, an illuminated SV logo, and more sculpted bolsters.
They also come equipped with JLR's Body and Soul Seat technology, which uses internal transducers to generate vibrations that let you "feel" the beat of a song. However, a wellness program is also designed to reduce stress and increase relaxation by influencing the variation in time between heartbeats. Order books for the Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two are now open, with prices starting at $184,325, including a $1,625 destination charge.
