Recently, clear images of the new 2026 Honda Passport were unveiled for the first time at the Rally Rebelle Rally event. However, Honda did not stop there, as they once again brought us teaser images of the TrailSport version, emphasizing its off-road capabilities. The interior design is equally captivating, equipped with an independent infotainment screen and rear storage space. It is noteworthy that this TrailSport version will feature 18-inch wheels and 31-inch tires, making it adaptable to various terrains with unique orange accents. Its off-road system includes TrailWatch, featuring front, rear, and side cameras as well as a 360-degree display to assist drivers in navigating blind spots and narrow paths. Additionally, Honda will offer a variety of accessories, including sleds and a MOLLE storage system suitable for off-roading.
This two-row SUV is positioned between the smaller CR-V and the larger three-row Pilot, and is expected to make its debut next month, likely at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The image shown here is a camouflaged prototype of the off-road TrailSport version, showcasing what the future model will look like, set to go on sale early next year. Previously, Honda released a series of testing videos for the TrailSport, showcasing the SUV's exceptional performance on sandy paths, through water, and on steep slopes.
The accompanying video notes that the Passport will continue to utilize a 3.5-liter V6 engine, although specific horsepower details have not been disclosed, previously rated at 280 horsepower. The vehicle will also be equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission, replacing the 9-speed, and will distribute power to all four wheels through the second-generation i-VTM4 all-wheel drive system, providing a superior driving experience.
