Mitsubishi recently unveiled its latest Triton Black Edition, marking a new venture for the company in the pickup market. Black Edition models have become a common choice among many automakers, and this new model from Mitsubishi is capturing the attention of consumers with its unique design and color scheme. The Triton, also known as the L200, showcases the appeal and practicality of modern pickup truck design.
The new model distinguishes itself from the traditional Triton by featuring a glossy black grille at the front, with black elements throughout the body enhancing the overall visual impact. These black elements include mirror covers, door handles, rear door handles, and 18-inch alloy wheels. To break the monotony of the all-black design, Mitsubishi's designers have added titanium accents on the side steps and rear bumper, giving the vehicle more depth.
The Black Edition offers unique color options, available exclusively in Graphite Gray and Diamond White. Inside, the cabin is dominated by a black theme with contrasting white stitching, although the light-colored headliner somewhat softens the overall dark appearance. Standard features include a 9-inch infotainment system and a range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Under the hood, the new vehicle is powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged diesel engine, producing a maximum power output of 181 horsepower and a peak torque of 430 Nm. The Black Edition is exclusively offered with a 6-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The vehicle is currently available in Thailand, starting at a price of $28,409, but is currently exclusive to the Thai market, with potential global expansion in the near future.
