The global luxury sedan segment is about to welcome a bold new contender from the East as Huawei unveils the interior of the Maextro S800, the debut model from its joint automotive venture with JAC Motors. Touted as the most luxurious Chinese vehicle to date, the Maextro S800 aims directly at the ultra premium class, nearly matching the level of the iconic Maybach S680. The car is set to launch in China this May, with parallel imports expected to arrive soon in the UAE, offering regional buyers a new benchmark in luxury and smart mobility.
A Cabin That Embodies Innovation and Refinement
Huawei has officially released the first interior images of the Maextro S800, showcasing a cabin designed to combine state of the art technology with artisan level craftsmanship. Dominating the dashboard are three seamlessly connected digital displays embedded in a single curved glass panel, creating a futuristic and expansive cockpit experience.
The Maextro S800 offers refined interior color schemes, including full brown, a brown and white combination, and a distinctive purple and white pairing, each tailored to suit various exterior finishes. Materials throughout the cabin reinforce its luxury focus, with premium leather, wood trims featuring continuous grain alignment, hand polished crystal accents, and chrome plated detailing.
Even the smallest details are carefully crafted: metallic accents on emergency door handles, air vents inspired by Rolls Royce, and advanced features such as the Huawei SOUND audio system, dual wireless charging pads, and ventilated, heated, massaging seats with extendable leg rests, all contribute to a world class cabin experience.
Rear Cabin Comfort That Rivals First Class Travel
The rear seats of the Maextro S800 receive equal attention, with both four and five seat layouts available. The four seat executive setup stands out, featuring a starlight ceiling that mirrors the ambiance found in high end models like Rolls Royce. This luxurious visual effect adds to the car’s overall elegance during night drives.
The rear cabin also includes a retractable wide screen display integrated into a smart curtain system, mounted on sliding tracks for enhanced stability. The center console houses wireless chargers, folding tables, independent climate zones, temperature controlled cup holders, and a cleverly packaged refrigerator that optimizes trunk space.
The rear seats are designed for zero gravity comfort, with full adjustability for recline and leg support, in addition to integrated heating, cooling, and massage functions. Each seat features its own headrest speakers, offering an immersive and individualized surround sound experience.
Elegant Proportions and a Futuristic Exterior
The Maextro S800 impresses with its sheer size: 5,480 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,536 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,370 mm. These dimensions translate into a spacious and refined cabin that provides exceptional legroom and headspace for all occupants.
Its exterior design follows the “Star Horizon” language, with sweeping lines and a fastback style sloping roof that delivers a sporty, coupe like silhouette. While its modern aesthetic is clear, the Maextro retains a classic trunk rather than adopting the hatchback style, emphasizing its positioning as a luxury executive sedan.
Advanced Electric Powertrains with Premium Range and Performance
The Maextro S800 is available in two advanced powertrain options: a fully electric (BEV) variant and an extended range electric vehicle (EREV). The BEV model features a 94.364 kWh battery that delivers a range of 622 km to 702 km (CLTC standard), and supports 5C fast charging, enabling a 10 to 80 percent charge in just 12 minutes.
The EREV version combines a 1.5 liter petrol generator with a 63.262 kWh battery, delivering an electric range of 272 to 331 km (WLTC). Both configurations are offered with either dual or tri motor setups, with the top tier variant pushing out an astonishing 707 kW, aligning it with high performance luxury flagships.
Huawei’s implementation of an 800V electrical architecture for the EREV variant ensures ultra fast charging capability, complemented by intelligent cooling systems that maintain battery efficiency and stability during long distance or high demand driving.
