Cars - After about a month of accepting reservations, Lucid Motors officially commenced production of its second model and first-ever SUV, Gravity, on December 5. The company stated on X: “Today marks an exciting milestone for our company. Production of Lucid Gravity has now begun at our plant in Arizona!” They also added, “This achievement celebrates the hard work of our enthusiastic and dedicated team in bringing this leading SUV to life.”
With production now underway, the next question is when the first deliveries will take place. After four years of promoting the Gravity SUV, Lucid is finally ready to launch the model. As part of this effort, the company announced pricing and opened reservations on November 7 last year.
While Lucid did not go into many details, they confirmed that the model will initially be offered in a Grand Touring configuration at a starting price of $94,900. Production is expected to start by the end of this year, and the electric crossover boasts over 800 horsepower with a range exceeding 708 kilometers.
The company previously revealed that the model will feature adjustable air suspension and wheel sizes ranging from 20 to 23 inches. Additionally, we can expect a 0 to 96 km/h acceleration time of under 3.5 seconds and a towing capacity of up to 2722 kilograms.
The minimalist interior design focuses on screens, welcoming drivers with a large curved display and a dedicated infotainment system. A dual-spoke steering wheel and seating for up to seven people are included.
A variety of options will be available, including heated, ventilated, and massage front seats, a luxury audio system with 22 speakers, and a four-zone climate control system. The front of the vehicle can also be equipped with seating for two adults.
Additionally, the company announced that the more affordable Gravity Touring model will arrive at the end of next year, starting at $79,900.
