A pioneering figure in the automotive industry, Land Rover recently unveiled its latest limited edition, exclusively designed for the Australian market. The model, known as the Range Rover SV Orpheus, is limited to just six units, with its unique design inspired by a remote island, enveloped in an alluring sense of mystery.
Owners of this limited edition vehicle will receive an extraordinary gift. Land Rover will present them with a replica of a statue depicting an indigenous woman named Jimmy Marshall. This original statue stands at 2.2 meters tall, currently submerged underwater off the coast of North Queensland, created by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, serving as a symbol of the protection of the Great Barrier Reef.
As the name suggests, this special Range Rover incorporates numerous representative elements that highlight its profound connection to Orpheus Island in Queensland. The exterior features a dazzling blue paint job paired with a silver roof, while the flowing lines and 23-inch alloy wheels create a stunning visual impact. The body details are adorned with dark gray and satin black accents, with the Range Rover badge appearing in metallic black, accented by chrome silver highlights.
Inside, the vehicle boasts seats upholstered in Perlin color leather, matching seat belts, a bespoke steering wheel, and white ceramic controls, cleverly integrating the color scheme. To enhance exclusivity, owners can further customize the seat cushions and embroidery.
This special edition is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 mild hybrid engine with twin turbochargers, producing 570 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
The special edition is expected to be unveiled to an exclusive audience at a luxurious residence on Orpheus Island in North Queensland. This invitation-only destination will host a luxury resort, with the unveiling scheduled between November 29 and December 5, 2024.
While the company has not disclosed whether the six available units have already been reserved, it is believed that there is still an opportunity to purchase one. The starting price of the model is set at $339,000.
