Li Auto is set to achieve the milestone of delivering one million electric vehicles later in October. Since its establishment in 2015, it has taken Li Auto nearly five years to complete this goal. Li Auto is a Chinese new energy vehicle brand, with its first model launched in December 2019. Although it only delivered 10,000 units in the first six months after launch, its sales have significantly increased thereafter. By November 2021, Li Auto had delivered 100,000 vehicles to users, and in the following three years, it delivered another 900,000 units.
On October 1st, Li Auto announced that its total deliveries had reached 975,176 units. In 2024, Li Auto has an average monthly sales of about 38,000 vehicles, suggesting that it is likely to achieve one million deliveries in mid-October. On October 7th, a reliable Chinese automotive blogger shared a photo containing information about the delivery of Li Auto's millionth vehicle, further confirming the upcoming milestone.
Although there is no information about the exact date of the delivery ceremony, it is assumed to take place in mid-October, as most Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers tend to boost their sales in the last three months of the year. In the first nine months of 2024, Li Auto delivered a total of 341,812 vehicles, boasting the highest sales target achievement rate among other new energy vehicle brands at 71.2%.
Initially, Li Auto planned to sell 800,000 vehicles in 2024. However, the unsuccessful launch of the Li Mega minivan forced the company to revise its sales targets. As a result, the target was lowered to between 560,000 and 640,000 units, but actual sales still fell short of expectations, leading Li Auto to further reduce its sales target to 480,000 vehicles.
