A pioneer in the automotive industry, Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility (AFEM) has unveiled the new Polestar 4 SUV coupe at the SEE sustainability research center. This launch marks a significant milestone for Polestar, expanding its lineup from a single model to three. The Polestar 4 is now the fastest and lowest-emission vehicle to date.
With Polestar 2 and Polestar 4 hitting the roads in the UAE, and the upcoming Polestar 3, the Swedish electric vehicle brand continues to broaden its offerings in the Emirates, providing customers with more eco-friendly mobility options.
At the event, Hassan Nergize, General Manager of AFEM, stated, “After the remarkable success of Polestar 2 in the UAE, we recognized the need to continue expanding our lineup to meet the rapidly growing demand from environmentally-conscious car owners in the UAE. Polestar 4 combines the best of SUV and coupe experiences in one vehicle, delivering the strongest and fastest performance in the Polestar lineup, along with its distinctive futuristic design and advanced technology. Most importantly, the Polestar 4 has the lowest carbon footprint, perfectly embodying the brand's vision of providing sustainable mobility solutions for modern customers.”
He added, “In a market where SUVs are preferred, Polestar 4 stands out not only for its bold driving experience but also for its green capabilities, perfectly aligning with our core mission to make sustainable mobility more accessible and a daily reality for everyone.”
Design Appeal
The Polestar 4's design merges the aerodynamics of coupes with the spaciousness of crossovers, showcasing a simple yet innovative Scandinavian design. Features include the removal of the rear window, uniquely designed dual-blade headlights, and enhanced aerodynamic efficiency through a low front protrusion, hidden door handles, frameless windows, and rear airfoil design that improves airflow around the rear light bar.
As the fastest production car developed by Polestar to date, the Polestar 4 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, with a maximum power output of 400 kW or 544 hp in the dual-motor version. The long-range single-motor version boasts 200 kW or 272 hp at the rear, with a range of up to 620 km.
