In the beautiful Al-Qassim region, Prince Faisal bin Mishal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud officially launched five road projects with a total investment reaching 421 million Riyals.
This grand event was witnessed by the Minister of Transport and the President of the General Roads Authority, Saleh Al-Jasser. Among the highlights of these new projects is the completion of a 4-km internal connector road with an intersection at the King Abdulaziz Road, costing 54 million Riyals.
Additionally, the 29-km road linking Al-Qassim to the city rapid route will also be completed with an investment of 248 million Riyals, significantly enhancing accessibility to the holy city and improving safety on the roads.
Moreover, a 6-km free-flowing intersection will be constructed linking Al-Qassim to the city rapid route, with a cost of 19 million Riyals. The equestrian intersection in Buraydah will also be upgraded, transforming the old road into a quick route over a length of 14 km, costing 57 million Riyals.
Simultaneously, a 13-km alternative road will be expanded to dual carriageway at a cost of 43 million Riyals. Currently, the total length of the road network in Al-Qassim has reached 6,511 km, with the five projects totaling 66 km and costing 421 million Riyals.
Additionally, there are 6 root maintenance projects with a total length of 95 km and a total cost of 35 million Riyals. There are also 6 projects under construction, amounting to 109 km and costing 514 million Riyals, and 4 root maintenance projects identified, spanning 411 km with a cost of 312 million Riyals.
These new road projects will greatly enhance the efficiency of the roads and are constructed to international standards. The General Roads Authority urges everyone to maintain the cleanliness of the new roads, adhere to truck weight and dimension regulations, avoid damaging road facilities, and follow safety instructions while driving, reporting any issues through the 938 hotline.
