The General Authority for Roads in Saudi Arabia has officially announced the launch of several road projects in the Northern Borders region, aimed at supporting and promoting regional development and sustainability. The authority emphasized that these projects are implemented according to the highest standards of quality and efficiency, and called on citizens to maintain these infrastructures to ensure their safety.
Under the patronage of Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan of the Northern Borders region, Transportation Minister Saleh Al-Jasser attended the inauguration of the overpass at the intersection of Hail-Rafha and Arar-Rafha roads. This intersection is considered vital, with a construction cost of 45 million Riyals. This project will enhance traffic safety levels and strengthen the connectivity of the road network in the region while supporting logistics and economic activities.
The project also contributes to achieving the strategic objectives of the road sector, which focus on safety, quality, and traffic density.
The authority stated that the road network in the Northern Borders region spans 2,500 km. The new projects include:
– 3 completed major maintenance projects totaling 229 km at a cost of 63 million Riyals.
– 2 ongoing maintenance projects totaling 2,202 km at a cost of 96 million Riyals.

Adhere to the weights and dimensions of trucks.
Maintain the cleanliness of the road area.
