The new Land Rover Defender 2025 has been officially revealed, showcasing a range of updates designed to enhance both comfort and luxury inside the cabin, along with the introduction of a more powerful diesel engine.
Since its launch in 2019, the current generation of the Defender has seen significant success, attributed to its appealing muscular design, exceptional off-road capabilities, high-quality interior, and robust engine options. With these updates, Land Rover aims to elevate the luxury level of the Defender to be more in line with that of the Range Rover.
Enhanced Diesel Engine for the 2025 Defender
The new Defender will be equipped with a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder diesel engine featuring mild hybrid technology, producing 350 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. This marks an increase of 50 horsepower and 50 Nm compared to the previous diesel engine, while the other engine options will remain unchanged. Externally, the vehicle has not undergone significant updates, as Land Rover has primarily focused on enhancing the interior. The Defender will continue to be offered in three primary sizes, designated as Defender 90, 110, and 130, depending on the wheelbase length and available cabin space.
Luxurious Updated Interior
Interior updates include new headrests, refreshed seat upholstery, and darker aesthetic accents throughout the cabin to elevate the sense of luxury. Additionally, new storage pockets have been integrated into the sides of the center console, allowing the driver and front passenger to conveniently store small items.
Land Rover has already commenced orders for the new 2025 Defender in the UK and Europe, with plans to expand availability to other global markets in the upcoming months. Furthermore, the Land Rover Defender is expected to launch its most powerful version in history in 2024, boasting power exceeding 600 horsepower.
