Kia disclosed the technical specifications and engine options alongside the stylish sedan's debut at the New York Auto Show.
Engine Specifications and Performance Figures
The K4 2025 will be available with two engines:
A 2.0-liter 4-cylinder producing 147 horsepower and 170 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT transmission.
A 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder delivering 190 horsepower and 264 Nm of torque, combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission featuring paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
A sporty GT version of the sedan is likely to be available later, boasting over 200 horsepower, although no official details are available at this time.
Luxurious and Spacious Interior
The new Kia K4 has increased in size compared to the current Cerato model, making it the largest compact sedan in its class. This translates to more room for leg and head movement inside the cabin, along with additional storage space in the trunk.
Interior features include:
A massive 30-inch panoramic display.
Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay across all trims.
Over-the-air software updates.
Mobile app-based door unlocking technology.
The exterior of the new Kia K4 is bolder and more aerodynamic compared to the current Cerato, equipped with various safety and driver-assistance systems, including early collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, and more.
The new Kia K4 is expected to reach American and global dealerships in the second half of 2024.
