Jetour, a brand under Chery, has recently launched its new hybrid SUV, the Shanhai L7, available in four different configurations. The price ranges from $18,500 to $22,800, specifically targeting family consumers. The Shanhai series is a new energy vehicle lineup under Jietor, including models like T2, L6, L7, and L9.
The exterior design of the Jetour Shanhai L7 draws inspiration from mountains and seas, showcasing a unique design language. The front lights are composed of 118 units, and features include roof racks, an electric tailgate, and heated and folding side mirrors. The vehicle is available in six exterior colors: black, gray, green, blue, silver, and white.
The new vehicle measures 4,749 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,720 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,745 mm. The power is derived from a fifth-generation ACTECO TGDI 1.5-liter hybrid engine with a power output of 154 hp and a torque of 220 Nm. Additionally, it has a front electric motor with 267 hp and 395 Nm, paired with a dual-speed DHT transmission, and a fuel tank capacity of 60 liters.
The tri-cell lithium battery has a capacity of 19.43 kWh, providing a pure electric range of 120 km, while the official combined range is 1,300 km. Under fast charging, it takes 18 minutes to recharge the battery from 30% to 80%, while slow charging takes three hours. At the same time, the VtoL system is also supported, allowing the vehicle to convert into a mobile power bank to power devices.
The driving cabin features an integrated screen consisting of a full LCD instrument panel measuring 12.3 inches and a 12.3-inch central control screen. The center console includes two rotary knobs for controlling different functions, a 50-watt wireless phone charging pad, and cup holders. Other features include a smart voice assistant, mobile remote control, Huawei HiCar system, Sony speakers, and level 2 advanced driving assistance capabilities.
Both five-seat and seven-seat configurations are offered in 2+3 and 2+3+2 formats, respectively, with 33 storage spaces throughout the cabin. The second-row seat backrest can be adjusted from 25 degrees to 41 degrees and can fold down to achieve a trunk space of 1,688 liters, accommodating 24 pieces of 20-inch luggage.
Additionally, the luxury model comes equipped with a built-in refrigerator with a capacity of 5 liters, temperature range between -6℃ and 50℃, supporting six modes along with UV sterilization.
