Jetour has announced the launch of its plug-in hybrid, the Jetour X90 C-DM. It features a 1.5-liter turbo engine combined with two electric motors, providing an all-electric range of up to 108 km (67 miles) without engaging the conventional engine.
The exterior design is similar to the X90 Pro model. The vehicle boasts a bold appearance with slim LED daytime running lights above a large chrome fountain-style grille, reminiscent of luxury Hongqi models. The main headlights are positioned on the sides of the grille, along with fog lights.
Despite the popularity of integrated door handle designs in Chinese cars, Jetour maintains a classic side profile with traditional chrome-accented handles and keyless entry. It comes with either 19 or 20-inch wheels, depending on the trim, enhancing its luxurious look. At the rear, LED taillights mirror the front design, and there are dual chrome exhaust tips.
Charging and fuel ports are located on the rear fenders.
The Jetour X90 C-DM measures 4,862 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width, and 1,784 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.
Inside, it offers a luxurious design competing with European standards in quality and technology. It features a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel for the driver and a 15.6-inch central control screen for entertainment. Notable tech includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip supporting dual-zone voice control, navigation management, over-the-air updates, Wi-Fi connectivity, and more.
The steering wheel is flat-bottomed with a sporty three-spoke design and multifunctional controls. The center console has a traditional yet simple layout including a gear lever, cup holders, and practical storage spaces.
The seats are crafted from premium leather available in standard five-seat or optional seven-seat configurations. The front seats offer electric adjustment with heating, cooling, and memory functions. Additional features include a panoramic sunroof, armrest cooler box function, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ambient lighting, and a Sony sound system.
Safety systems include 360-degree cameras, lane-keeping assist system (LKAS), emergency braking system (EBS), as well as front and rear collision warnings.
The powertrain combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating approximately 115 kW (154 hp) and peak torque of 220 Nm. The front and rear electric motors jointly produce 199 kW (267 hp) with combined torque reaching 395 Nm. These are paired with a two-speed DHT gearbox supported by a battery pack capacity of 19.43 kWh offering an electric range of about 108 km based on CLTC standards.
The car launched in China priced around $22,200 USD and is expected to reach other markets soon including GCC countries.
Jetour is well-known among Chinese automakers for producing affordable luxury SUVs suitable for families, providing practicality alongside economy and advanced technology. The X90's family-friendly size makes it one of their popular models likely to receive positive reception in GCC markets upon arrival in its hybrid form.
