The 2024 model year marks the last for the Infiniti Q50 compact sedan, leaving the brand with only SUVs in its lineup for 2025.

The Q50 debuted in the 2014 model year, launching Infiniti's Q naming strategy. However, it saw minimal updates over the years, while some rivals, like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, have undergone two redesigns during the Q50's lifespan.

At 10 years old, the Q50 was one of the oldest vehicles on the market, and its sales reflected that. Infiniti sold only 1,442 units in the second quarter, down about 21% from the same period last year.

With the Q50 gone, the QX50 compact crossover is now the entry point for the brand. Pricing details for the 2025 QX50, which goes on sale this fall, have yet to be announced, although Infiniti has confirmed that all-wheel drive will be standard.

Other vehicles in the lineup include the QX55, essentially a coupe-like version of the QX50, plus the QX60 three-row crossover and QX80 full-size SUV. The QX80 has been redesigned for the 2025 model year, featuring a much more upscale design inside and out. It also replaces its predecessor’s V-8 with Infiniti’s ubiquitous twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6.

Infiniti has more new products in the pipeline. Last fall, the brand confirmed a QX65 midsize crossover that will likely be a coupe-like version of the QX60. They also confirmed a pair of electric vehicles, one being a fastback hatch and the other a crossover. Timing for these vehicles has not been disclosed.
