Honda has announced the launch of the all-new sports coupe "Prelude," which features a sleek and eye-catching exterior design with precise dynamic details, in addition to a dedicated interior to enhance the driver's experience.
A Remarkable Return After 23 Years
The vehicle will feature a hybrid powertrain, with plans to introduce it to European and British markets in the coming year, marking the return of the name "Prelude" after the fifth generation was discontinued in 2001.
The new coupe expresses Honda's commitment to the sports car category at a time when SUVs and crossovers dominate the market.
Civic Engine
The Prelude is expected to share the hybrid system from the Civic model, which combines a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with two electric motors, which produces 181 horsepower in the Civic. The figures for the Prelude are still undisclosed, but there may be a noticeable increase in power.
The car is expected to share the same chassis as the Civic, but with mechanical tweaks aimed at enhancing driving experience and responsiveness, which is what customers seek in this type of car.
The car boasts a streamlined exterior with a wide front grille and a low nose, along with 20-inch wheels. Honda has yet to unveil the interior design.
Stay tuned for more details about the new coupe in the coming months.
