The Geely Geometry G6 electric sedan was officially launched in China on September 10, 2023, as a 2024 model, with prices starting at $16,500 and going up to $20,400. Compared to the 2022 models, the prices for the 2024 versions have decreased by $4,085 to $5,720. The new model features minor design changes and is equipped with a new 100-kilowatt motor.
The new car measures 4752/1804/1520 mm, with a wheelbase of 2700 mm, slightly longer than its predecessors. The design of the G6 largely maintains the style of previous models, with an illuminated logo at the front. Door handles pop out automatically when the driver approaches, supporting keyless entry and touch start. The vehicle is available with 16-inch or 17-inch wheels.
Inside, Geely claims that the driving compartment is covered with a generous amount of soft materials. Features include a three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel and a slim 10.2-inch LCD instrument panel, with either a 14.6-inch or a 10.2-inch central control screen available for lower trims. The vehicle's operating system is Huawei's HarmonyOS, which supports voice interaction, screen sharing, and OTA updates.
Lower trims forgo the advanced driving assistance system and leather-wrapped steering wheel. Only higher trims support advanced driving assistance functions, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition.
The interior features a five-seat layout wrapped in synthetic leather. Electric adjustment for the driver's seat is standard across all trims, while the front passenger seat adjustment is only available in higher trims.
The G6 is equipped with a front permanent magnet synchronous motor, available in both high and low power versions. The low-power motor produces 100 kW and 180 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 150 km/h; the high-power motor produces 150 kW and 310 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 165 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.9 seconds.
The new car offers two battery options: a 46.11 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and a 53.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, with pure electric ranges of 410 km and 500 km, respectively. Fast charging takes only 20 minutes to go from 30% to 80%, which is 33% faster than competing vehicles in the same class. According to Geely, the battery range can increase by 100 kilometers after just 8 minutes of charging.
Additionally, the battery features an aluminum structure and is equipped with a high-strength protective plate, achieving an IP68 water resistance rating and protection against combustion.
