The upcoming launch of the all-new BMW iX3 signifies a crucial leap for BMW in the electric vehicle domain. This fully electric SUV not only stands out from its gasoline counterpart, the X3, but also represents the first production model built on the long-awaited Neue Klasse platform and design philosophy.
While the official reveal is still some time away, patent drawings have already provided us with an initial glimpse of the car's design, albeit in low resolution. To enhance the visual impact, digital artist Nikita Chuicko has crafted highly detailed renderings based on these patents, bringing the upcoming electric vehicle to life through more realistic perspectives, better lighting, and appropriate backgrounds.
The production model astonishingly resembles the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X Concept unveiled in March 2024. The futuristic side mirrors have been replaced with conventional units, and retractable door handles have been incorporated.
The production vehicle will feature smaller wheels, with sizes depending on the model, and a lower panoramic roof, while thicker pillars and skillfully reshaped bumpers hint at improved everyday usability.
Although the patent drawings do not show LED units on the front and rear lights, the camouflaged prototypes have already revealed that the production version will indeed have LED lights. Another interesting detail is the Y-shaped element on the rear side windows, which was also evident in the concept model.
