Ford is fully preparing to launch electric vehicles and compete for a place in the global market. Before entering the electric vehicle market, Ford has already become the fastest-growing car brand in Saudi Arabia. The American automaker is laying the foundation for a "electric future" in the Middle East.

In the Middle East, more people are choosing to buy Ford vehicles than ever before. Ford Middle East President Rafi Ravichandran stated, "2024 has been an extraordinary year for Ford in the Middle East, with sales doubling since 2022." He noted that Ford's success is driven by "strong gains in market share from distributors."

Ford is witnessing growth in key regions, including the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. The company stated that it is currently the fastest-growing car brand in Saudi Arabia, attributing the sales increase to "Ford's large and modern lineup of vehicles." However, the lineup is about to become even more appealing.

The company highlighted its new lineup of vehicles, including the first fully electric vehicle, the Mustang Mach-E. Ford's Head of International Markets, Kay Hart, said, "The Mustang Mach-E represents a historic moment for us. It's our first fully electric vehicle in the region and truly one of the most exciting vehicles Ford has ever produced."

Ford will launch the 2025 Mustang Mach-E in the region next year. The vehicle will be available with two battery options, with an estimated range of between 350 and 450 kilometers. Accompanying the vehicle will be the Ford F-150, Taurus, and hybrid Territory models.

Despite Ford's growth in the Middle East, the company is downsizing in other key regions. In Germany, Ford lost two of its most experienced leadership team members this month. The American automaker now has only two executives in Germany, down from nine earlier this year.

Ford is restructuring its operations in Germany amid fierce competition, including pressure from low-cost Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers. The Middle East is also a key market for cars and is transitioning to electric models. Ford will compete with new rivals like BYD for market share.
