At the 2024 Paris Motor Show, Ford unveiled its all-electric crossover, the Capri, which reinterprets the classic model introduced in the late 1960s. Compared to its debut, the Ford Capri appears more dynamic, especially when compared to the Volkswagen ID.5, which seems more like a true SUV coupe. The all-electric Capri retains key design elements from its predecessor, with its iconic four headlights updated with Dynamic Matrix LED and Glare-Free Highbeam technology. The slender front grille connects the light clusters, creating a stylish and futuristic front face.

The roofline slopes back in a coupe style, featuring distinctive tail lights made up of four units. The wheel options include bold aluminum designs in sizes of 19, 20, and 21 inches, enhancing the sporty appearance of the Capri. Additionally, the exterior parts around the wheel arches and the lower body are painted with a high-gloss finish, adding a touch of luxury. The bright yellow paint instantly makes the Ford Capri stand out among other vehicles.

Body color options include exclusive bright yellow, which enhances the appeal of the Capri. Classic Capri design cues, such as the glasshouse and rear design, have been cleverly reinterpreted for the electric vehicle era.

The interior features a 5-inch digital instrument cluster and an adjustable 14.6-inch central display screen, SYNC Move 1, equipped with voice activation for smooth control. Additional comfort comes from an auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone climate control, and heated folding door mirrors.

Ford has made significant efforts to differentiate the Capri from the Volkswagen ID.5, particularly with the moveable touchscreen being a strong testament to that. However, discerning customers will still notice some shared elements, such as the design of the digital instrument cluster.

The Capri comes with a 17-liter MegaConsole that provides ample storage space beneath the front armrest, along with a secure hidden storage area in My Private Locker. The steering wheel is heated, and the front sport seats come with heating, with the driver’s seat electrically adjustable in 12 directions and featuring memory and massage functions. The Capri also boasts keyless entry and start, rain-sensing wipers, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless phone charging.

Optional features include AGR-certified comfortable front seats and a standard panoramic glass roof in the Premium model. The Driver Assistance Package offers advanced features like a head-up display, active parking assistance, lane centering, lane changing, and a 360-degree camera. The cargo space is 572 liters with a foldable floor for added versatility.
