The new BMW X5 was officially launched on December 7, 2018, featuring a simple and elegant interior design.
The 2019 BMW X5 is equipped with the familiar 8-speed Steptronic automatic/manual transmission as standard across the entire range. The gear lever is adorned with crystal decoration, enhancing the luxury feel of the interior.
Additionally, this model is equipped with the next-generation xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system. The core components of the BMW X5 include the engine, transmission, and chassis, with the engine and chassis made of aluminum alloy, ensuring high strength and good stability, as well as excellent oxidation resistance and lightweight advantages, making it very durable even in the second-hand market.
The BMW X5 features the ZF 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, which provides faster shifting response and higher shifting accuracy, with low loss, high reliability, and low noise. For the transmission fluid replacement, it is recommended to do so after approximately 80,000 kilometers.
During the replacement process, the transmission cover should be removed first, and the transmission fluid should be cleaned and the bolts around the oil pan loosened. Manual transmission oil should be replaced every three years or 100,000 kilometers, while automatic transmission fluid should be replaced every two years or 40,000 kilometers.
Failing to replace the transmission fluid for an extended period may lead to transmission damage, so it's essential to ensure that the transmission fluid is completely drained during the replacement.
