The all-electric revolution continues as Xpeng unveils the 2025 G6 SUV, an advanced model packed with groundbreaking updates, ultra-fast 5C charging AI batteries, and a state-of-the-art intelligent driving system. Launched on March 13 in China, this highly anticipated EV introduces 81 key upgrades, reinforcing Xpeng’s position as a leader in smart mobility.
From the outside, the G6 commands attention with its futuristic design, featuring a striking 1942 mm light strip that seamlessly integrates the turn signals. The Dark Night Black trim takes sportiness to another level with blackened rims, performance calipers, and a sleek dark space gray interior. Adding to the allure, two new color options, Starry Purple and Cloud Beige, join the lineup, expanding the selection to six dynamic shades.
At the heart of the 2025 G6 is Xpeng’s game-changing 5C ultra-fast charging AI battery, capable of charging from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes. A quick 10-minute charge can provide 450 km of range, making range anxiety a thing of the past. Even in extremely cold conditions of -30°C, the battery impresses with a 15-minute and 20-second recharge time from 10% to 80%. Xpeng has also reinforced its battery safety with a "bulletproof armor" structure, designed to withstand temperatures of 1000°C, pressures of 80 tons in collisions, and impacts of 2000 joules at the base.
Performance-wise, the rear permanent magnet synchronous motor delivers 292 horsepower (218 kW) and 450 Nm of torque, propelling the G6 from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. It boasts a top speed of 202 km/h while maintaining impressive efficiency, consuming only 12.5 kWh per 100 km.
Beyond its power, the G6 is a technological powerhouse. It features Xpeng’s self-developed Turing AI intelligent driving system, powered by dual NVIDIA Orin smart driving chips. With 8-megapixel front and rear cameras, millimeter-wave radar, and ultrasonic sensors, the system enables highway and city navigation on autopilot, remote parking, and even straight-line summoning. A blue ambient light inside the cabin highlights the car’s smart driving capabilities.
Stepping inside, the cabin is a fusion of innovation and comfort. A Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8295P chip powers the 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel and 15.6-inch floating central control screen, integrating Xpeng’s X-GPT AI model for advanced connectivity. New upgrades enhance convenience, including a 9-inch streaming rearview mirror, a soft-touch wireless charging pad, and cloud-sense front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
Spaciousness is another standout feature, with the largest interior space in its class. The armrest box offers 8.9 liters of storage, enough to hold five 600 ml water bottles, while the trunk space starts at 647 liters and expands to a massive 1,752 liters.
Available in three trims, the 2025 Xpeng G6 starts at 176,800 yuan (USD 24,400 / AED 89,615) for the 625 Long-range Max Technology Edition, with the top-tier 725 Ultra-long-range Max Ultimate Edition priced at 198,800 yuan (USD 27,500 / AED 101,000), with plans to hit global markets soon, including the UAE and GCC region.
