In the ever-expanding electric vehicle market in China, AVATR has introduced its fourth production model—the AVATR 06 sedan. At first glance, this sedan resembles a smaller version of the AVATR 12 Gran Coupe, but closer inspection reveals more traditional dimensions and a refined evolution of the brand's distinctive design cues, including small, split LED headlights, a simpler front bumper, and a sleeker exterior along the body.

While AVATR has not yet revealed the interior design of the 06, it is expected to follow in the footsteps of its more distinctive siblings, featuring a futuristic cockpit with large digital screens running Huawei's Harmony OS and other high-tech features.

The sedan shares the same CHN platform as the rest of the AVATR lineup. Although the company has yet to release full specifications, it is safe to assume that the 06 will come with the same powertrain options as the 07. Expected versions include rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations.

The rear-wheel drive model is likely to produce 338 horsepower, while the all-wheel drive variant is expected to generate around 590 horsepower, both powered by an 82 kWh battery. Additionally, there will be extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) versions that combine a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a 39 kWh battery, offering either one or two electric motors.

The AVATR 06 is also equipped with a range of advanced sensors as part of the Huawei Qiankun ADAS system, including a roof-mounted LiDAR. Side mirrors have been replaced with cameras, and a wing is mounted on the rear door.

The AVATR 06 measures a total length of 4855 mm, a width of 1960 mm, a height of 1450 mm, and a wheelbase of 2940 mm, making it 30 mm longer than the AVATR 07 crossover and 135 mm longer than the Tesla Model 3.

The car is slated for launch in China in early 2025, with the automaker hoping to boost sales, especially as the larger AVATR 11 and 12 models have not met initial targets in the competitive Chinese electric vehicle market.

The company is headquartered in Chongqing, with a development center in Shanghai and a design center in Munich, Germany.
