Recently, Chevrolet announced the expansion of its 2025 Silverado EV model lineup to include the mid-level LT edition and new Standard and Max Range battery options.
This update is particularly noteworthy as it increases the electric truck's range to 492 miles. The new LT version starts at $75,195, making it $14,200 cheaper than the higher-end RST version in the lineup.
This model comes equipped with a unique front bumper, illuminated Chevrolet badge, and 18-inch aluminum wheels, along with a versatile tailgate that adds flexibility and six color options, including the exclusive LT Smoky Blue metallic.
While Chevrolet did not go into much detail, it confirmed that the model features an 11.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 17.7-inch infotainment system. Power is provided by a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing up to 645 horsepower and 1036 Nm of torque.
The model also features an extended-range battery that allows it to travel 409 miles on a single charge. Buyers will also find 300 kW DC fast charging capability and a towing capacity of 12,500 pounds. For buyers looking for more features, a premium package is available, increasing the price to $81,995.
While Chevrolet did not specify much about this package, it adds 22-inch wheels and reduces the range to 390 miles. Customers will also find options like Super Cruise.
Additionally, the Work Truck (WT) is making a comeback, focusing on fleet sales, starting at $57,095. No estimates for the new Standard Range version's range were provided, but it's equipped with an Extended Range battery priced at $69,495, capable of covering 422 miles on a single charge.
The Max Range version has also been added, priced at $77,795. While this is quite expensive for a work truck, its estimated EPA range is 492 miles. In addition to the new batteries, the WT receives "more options," including Slate gray paint. Finally, the RST model sees a significant price reduction, starting at $89,395 down from $96,495.
However, the price isn't the only thing that has changed, as the truck is now offered with two different battery packs. The Extended Range model has an EPA estimated range of 390 miles, while the Max Range truck priced at $97,895 can cover an estimated 460 miles according to General Motors.
In comparison, the 2024 RST First Edition had an estimated range of about 440 miles.
