BYD has launched the Tang L alongside the Han L just two days ago. This flagship SUV in the Dynasty series combines advanced electric performance with luxury. Designed for families, adventure seekers, and luxury enthusiasts, it boasts powerful engines and advanced comfort features.

Strong Presence: Design and Dimensions

The Tang L adopts BYD's new "Loong Face" design language, inspired by Chinese heritage yet offering a modern futuristic look. It features a wide front fascia with split headlights and dragon whisker-like air intakes, creating a 3D design that gives it an imposing presence.

The dimensions are 5,040 mm long, 1,996 mm wide, and 1,760 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. This provides ample space with a three-row seven-seat layout, ideal for large families or road trip enthusiasts who value comfort without compromise.

High-Performance Options: Electric and Plug-in Hybrid

Tang L is available in two main variants:

• Plug-in Hybrid (Tang L DM): Combines a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine with one or two electric motors for optimal range and efficiency. Available in single-motor or dual-motor configurations, with a combined range that can reach up to 1200km.

• Fully Electric (Tang L EV):

  • Rear-wheel drive version with a single motor producing 500 kW (670 hp), accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.9 seconds.

  • All-wheel drive version with dual motors producing 810 kW (1086 hp), accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under 4 seconds.

Ultra-Fast Charging and Long Range

The Tang L supports dual-gun DC fast charging thanks to its high-voltage 1000V platform, allowing for very short charging times. It can charge up to 370 km (229 miles) in just five minutes and from 10% to 70% in six minutes; full charge from zero to 100% takes half an hour.

Both hybrid and fully electric models feature Blade batteries offering long range and reliable performance for daily commutes or weekend getaways across the Gulf.

Luxurious Interior with Smart Technologies

The interior of the BYD Tang L blends luxurious materials with futuristic technologies:

• A 15.6-inch rotating infotainment display.

• High-definition Head-Up Display, digital instrument panel, premium sound system.

• Wireless phone charging, integrated fragrance dispenser, even a small refrigerator.

• Bamboo wood accents, ambient lighting system, thoughtfully designed cargo space throughout the cabin.
