Mercedes-Benz recently announced that its Mercedes-AMG ONE supercar set a new lap record for a production car at the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a time of 6 minutes 29 seconds 090. This time is more than five seconds faster than the previous record, marking the AMG ONE as the first production car in the world to break the 6 min 30 sec mark at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The record was achieved by Mercedes-AMG brand ambassador and DTM driver Maro Engel on the afternoon of September 23rd, when he drove the AMG ONE around the 20.832-kilometer-long circuit of the Nürburgring to accomplish the feat.
Equipped with a hybrid powertrain derived from Formula 1, including a turbocharged 1.6-liter V6 engine and four electric motors with a combined maximum power of 782 kW, the AMG ONE is priced at a whopping 2.75 million euros (approximately SAR 11,379,225).
