Aston Martin unveiled three new cars simultaneously in an unprecedented move, including the F1 car AMR24 and the Vantage model. The Vantage has been a classic since its debut in the 1950 F1 race at Silverstone.
The design of the Vantage is aimed at meeting driver expectations while showcasing outstanding performance. The competitive edge of the new AMR24 will participate in the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship organized by the FIA. The Aston Martin Aramco F1 team aims to continue the success of 2023, with drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll having reached the podium nine times and scored 280 points.
Additionally, Aston Martin launched the Vantage GT3, which is set to compete in global endurance races, including the 2024 Le Mans 24-hour race. The Vantage GT3 is developed to continue the successful legacy of the Vantage GTE, which secured 52 class wins and 11 world titles between 2012 and 2023. Lawrence Stroll, CEO of Aston Martin, stated that the three cars embody the brand's unique essence.
The launch of the Vantage and Vantage GT3 coinciding with the AMR24 at Silverstone emphasizes our ambition in the world of Formula 1. In recent years, the brand's remarkable results in F1 have driven its efforts to attract new customers and prompted a reassessment of its products. The high level of competitiveness of the F1 team enhances collaboration with the high-performance motorsport technologies team to advance the manufacturing of the next generation of sports cars.
The Aston Martin Aramco F1 team will kick off the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship by participating in the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 2, 2024.
