Xpeng has officially unveiled its electric liftback P7+, which is set to enter the market this year. The vehicle is the first to feature the company's next-generation autonomous driving platform, offering a maximum range of 710 km and a peak power of 308 hp.
The P7+ made its debut in China, targeting family users and adopting the brand's latest design language called Robo Face. The front design is shaped like an X, featuring an LED light strip with the headlights integrated into the front bumper. At the rear, it has a unified tail light design. From the side, it features hidden door handles and a sloping roofline. The vehicle is available in five colors: silver, white, black, purple, and beige.
The P7+ has overall dimensions of 5056/1937/1512 mm (length/width/height) with a wheelbase of 3000 mm, making it 168 mm longer than the P7i sedan. It is equipped with 235/60 R18 or 255/45 R20 tires. According to brand officials, the longer body of the P7+ increases the interior space.
The interior features a 15.6-inch main display and a gear shift lever positioned behind the steering wheel. The central tunnel contains two cup holders and two 50W wireless charging pads. The second-row seats of the P7+ offer electric adjustments, ventilation, and massage functions, except for the middle seat. There is also an 8-inch display for rear passengers, and the right rear passenger has a foldable table.
The vehicle is equipped with the new generation AI Eagle Eye Vision autonomous driving system. The main improvement over the previous AD system is in perception and recognition speed. According to the company, the perception distance of the Eagle Eye system has increased by 125%, and the recognition speed has improved by 40%. The company has enhanced the P7+’s performance at night and in adverse weather conditions.
The peak power of the base model is 241 hp, while the more powerful version features an electric motor rated at 308 hp. There are two LFP battery options, the first being 60.7 kWh for a range of 620 km and the second being 76.3 kWh for a range of 710 km, with an energy consumption of 11 kWh/100 km. The P7+ features a front double wishbone suspension and a rear multi-link independent suspension.
The P7+ will make its international debut at the Paris Motor Show on October 14, with plans for a market launch in China this year.
