The Dacia Duster, a well-known Romanian brand under Renault, has made a significant impact in the European market with its practical and cost-effective vehicles. This week, the third generation of the Duster is unveiled, showcasing a more rugged design, a spacious interior, and innovative hybrid engines.
Dacia reaffirms that the Duster will remain "the most affordable vehicle in its class" despite numerous enhancements. The exterior features bold wheel arches, muscular fenders, and redesigned headlights among various other updates.

Interior Upgrades
The interior now includes a 7-inch digital instrument panel and a 10.1-inch infotainment screen. Notably, rear legroom has increased by 30 millimeters, and trunk space has expanded by 6% for added convenience.

A significant improvement comes with the new CMF-B platform, designed to enhance driving stability and comfort while also accommodating hybrid engines following the discontinuation of the diesel variant.
Performance and Engine Options
The most powerful variant of the Duster is the "Hybrid 140," featuring a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 140 horsepower. Additionally, the new Duster offers a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine with mild hybrid technology, producing a total of 130 horsepower, and is available with a 6-speed manual transmission and either front-wheel or all-wheel drive options.

Notable features of the 2024 Duster include: 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, wireless charging, a 3D audio system with six speakers, and electric mirrors, with many features reserved for higher trims.
Since its launch in 2010, over 2.2 million Dusters have been sold, averaging 1,000 units daily, with production continuing at the Pitesti factory in Romania.
