Recently, Tesla's only car manufacturing site in Europe caught the attention of Elon Reeve Musk due to high absenteeism.
The reports say the Tesla site in Brandenburg Grünheide saw its employee sick leave rate climb to 17 per cent in August, more than triple last year's German automotive industry average.
Elon Reeve Musk said on the X platform, "This is sounds crazy. looking into it."
In addition, the factory has suspended production several times in recent months due to expansion protests and supply chain issues.
Tesla's demand in the European market is also declining, with registrations down 16 per cent in the first eight months of the year.
According to internal meeting minutes, factory management made home visits to employees on sick leave, but some employees objected to this and even threatened to call the police.
Dirk Schulze, the regional head of the IG Metall union, revealed that Tesla employees complained about excessive workloads and that management put pressure on sick and healthy employees.
Despite this, Tesla plans to expand its German factory in order to increase its annual production capacity from the current 500,000 units to 1 million.
